water - the life giver

Water is one of the elementary sources of life. Water quality is also an indicator of the general quality of the natural environment. Without water, a harmonious and sustainable maintenance or development of socioeconomic activities is not possible. Good-quality water is available only in limited quantities at given time and place.

For the purposes of improving the quality of life and, as a condition, for achieving sustainable development, it is essential to secure sufficient water of adequate quality throughout Cyprus, without upsetting the natural equilibrium of the environment.

This program aims to raise awareness, inform, educate and explain to students the significance of water as a valuable source of nature.
