Visually Impaired
Photocopy
For photocopying of materials not loaned out, there are
photocopy machines available within the library area
which can be used by both students and lecturers. A copy
card can be purchased from the Circulation Desk –
€6.00 for 120 copies i.e 5c per copy.
For Art students and lecturers, there is a photocopy machine
for coloured copies - i.e. 25c per A4 coloured copy and
50c per A3 coloured copy.

Technical Support
The Library is equipped with more than twenty
computer terminals, through which users have access to
our on-line catalog
InterCAT – a world known product of
automated library system by Ex Libris, which meets all
aspects of our information and management needs.
A number of terminals are available for accessing both our
on-line databases
as well as the internet. This enables users to locate
thousands of articles in abstract or full-text form.
Off-campus
access is also available which enables users to
have access to all electronic resources. You can link to all the university
materials from home.
For wireless connection you can pick a Wi-Fi card from
the Circulation Desk after you hand in your ID card.
Two TVs and DVD players are available in the library as
well as a number of tape recorders. These enable students to use
audiovisuals which are not loaned out.
Visually Impaired
There is also a specific setup for serving
visually impaired students.
Using dedicated computer hardware and software (SuperNova),
people who are visually impaired can view large-type
renditions of digital material on the large monitor or
listen through headphones as a computerized voice reads
the information. The system supports Greek, English and
numerous other languages. |
