Production Floor
The TV studio is used for TV production programs and is equipped with:

· Three broadcast quality studio cameras giving a multi-camera production capability

· a Teleprompter  

· an Intercom system for two-way communication among the crew in studio and control rooms

· a Floor Manager head set 

· a Video Monitor

· a ceiling lighting grid accommodating 32 light inputs

· Three Six-Channel dimmers

· Floor lighting accommodating four inputs

· Extra studio lights on stands and gels

· A Boom Microphone

· A Variety of handheld microphones, from directional to bi-directional and lavalieres, as well as wireless microphones.

· A selection of sets and furniture for news, interviews and magazine shows.

Control Room
The TV control room is used for directing TV programs and is
equipped with professional equipment of broadcast quality:
· a production switcher
· an audio mixer
· a lighting control console
· a character generator
· 7 monitors
· an intercom system
· a Beta cam SP Video Tape Player
· a Beta cam SP Video Tape Recorder
· 2 camera control units (CCU)

Sound Control
· 19 channel audio mixer

Sound Booth
· A professional sound booth for the purposes of voice recordings and dubbing

Editing Suites
Three fully automated editing stations:
· One 2-machine S-VHS editing suite with 2 monitors
· One 2-machine Beta cam editing suite with variable speed and 2 monitors
· One 2-machine editing suite with special-effects generator and 2 monitors

Cameras and supporting equipment
· For field productions: 4 Sony Beta cam Cameras with tripods

· 8 Mini DV DSR PD 170P cameras with tripods
· 7 Panasonic Super VHS cameras with tripods
· 4 Lights (1000w and 650w) and stands

This is the latest development of the Unit.  It is available to students taking advanced video production courses, and also holds training seminars for professionals in the industry who will be using the program for their own work.

· One server connecting all stations to the network

· Two mojos

· One Sony DSR 11 DV player

· One projector and screen
